We recorded the drums in 4 days until the 23rd and the results are outstanding.
The musical style covers Heavy Rock, Punk, sometimes a bit trashy in a modern way and promises strong beats and heavy bass drum licks on strong guitar riffs.
11 songs were recorded, all will be sang in Greek except for one in English. The name and more about the project will be announced soon.

December 17th, 2003

Mark will record the drums on the album for an old friend and newcomer Greek artist Mike K.
The recordings will be done at Sierra Studios in Athens, Greece starting December 19th.
It was Mark's choice to record there, simply to utilize its big recording rooms and the vintage Neve console, that promises a  fat warm drum sound.
Next week we will post pictures and give more details about the session.

Mark just got back home from his trip to Germany and is extremely happy to announce that his final checkup results are outstanding. His Doctor confirmed that the virus lies in the past and his physical condition is back to 100%! The cannon can be let loose again!!

Rock'n Roll ....

London, 29th Sept.

"The past 12 months of coping with the pressure of not knowing when I'd ever be healthy again, were definitely the most difficult days and months of my life!
It's not that it would have killed me, but I simply couldn't do any heavy activities.
I'm happy and very grateful that my illness lies in the past, and that I'm able again to get my career and life back together.

I lost a good job and opportunity with Helloween this year, but it's certainly not the end of the world. Being healthy is the most important thing, everything else is secondary!
Now that I regained my confidence and the strength of looking in ones eyes again ..... I will kick your ass!!! I've missed being on stage and on the road.

It's 5pm and I just got back from Plymouth. In a couple of hours I'll head to the local Pub with my friends, get a few pints of John Smith, get bladdered, celebrate and wash away the past year, cheers!
Tomorrow I will fly to Greece and terrorize the rock'n roll cirquit in Athens a bit, before I'll head to the States sometime in the next couple of months."

More NEWS to come soon ...

To the Press, friends and fans all over!

After being ill the past few months, it looks like I will no longer remain in Helloween.
Past September, a few days after I started the drum recordings, I ended up in a Medical Center and was no longer able to complete the new Helloween album. I gave it two more tries after several weeks, but all my energy and power was gone. Bad luck it is, there are only 2 songs I played on the new album RABBIT DON' T COME EASY, "Listen to the flies" and "Don't stop being crazy", the rest I passed to Mickey Dee, who simply had to follow the drum arrangements I had done.
I needed several months to recover, but the  risk of maybe getting weak again was too high for Helloween  and they decided to replace me with someone else in the future.
I'm sad, but I have to look forward and stand tall to keep this train rolling.

I'm back in the studio banging the tubs and am very happy to say that it feels good and I will soon be back in shape 100% looking for new horizons!

Bottoms up.....

Greets,
Mark Cross
